Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) Courses
Achieve your teaching, assessment and quality assurance qualifications with Cognitia.
‘TAQA’ is the name for a suite of awards in Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance.
Anybody who wants to use their knowledge and skills to teach, train, or assess Apprenticeships and NVQ’s will usually need a TAQA qualification. People looking to change their career to become a trainer or assessor will find a TAQA qualification invaluable.
When you have qualified, you can find work in colleges of Higher Education or you could work for a training provider. Other options are becoming a self-employed assessor or you could do the Award in Education and Training course and become a teacher in a college.
The TAQA qualifications we offer are:
If you are new to the lifelong learning sector and do not have any prior teaching experience or qualifications, the Level 3 Award in Education & Training will take your career forward. It covers roles, responsibilities and relationships in lifelong learning, understanding inclusive learning and teaching, using inclusive learning and teaching approaches, and the principles of assessment. The new Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training QCF qualification replaces the Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS).
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
Candidates who undertake our qualifications work at their own pace and can complete an award in twelve weeks to twelve months, with an average being three months. Our online system provides 24/7 access to assignments and assessor feedback.
All of your assignments are completed and stored online and, as such, can be accessed from anywhere at any time. This means you can complete your award from work or home.
Our own assessors recognise that each candidate is unique and plan person-centred progress throughout. This is ideal for those who are nervous, or who have not completed formal education for a while, or who are just simply busy.
